6th Grade!

The State Assembly passed a Bill (Assembly Bill 354) in September 2010 requiring all Californians 10 years and older to receive a booster shot against pertussis (whooping cough). All students entering 7th - 12th grades will need proof of the booster before starting school.  This requirement begins July 1, 2011 and can be met by receiving one dose of the vaccine on or after the 10th birthday.This means that on the first day of school, if the school does not have proof that you child has had the booster vaccine, your child cannot start school.  Once proof has been provided, the child will be allowed to begin school.
